Reddit Revenue Surges Through AI Data Licensing Deals

Reddit, Inc. is leveraging its repository of human conversations to establish high-margin revenue streams through AI data licensing and international expansion. The company secured licensing agreements with Google LLC and OpenAI Inc. that generate more than $130 million annually, reducing its reliance on core advertising revenue.

Financial results for the second quarter of 2025 show significant growth, with revenue increasing 78% year-over-year to $500 million. Net income for the period reached $89 million, while daily active users grew 21% to 110.4 million.

To further enrich its AI datasets and increase pricing power, the company is targeting under-monetized markets in India, Brazil, and the Philippines. This strategy involves implementing localized content and multilingual support to attract users in these regions.
