The Yemeni army's 35th Armored Brigade killed or wounded over 35 Houthi fighters during a targeted operation in Taiz province.
The Yemeni army's 35th Armored Brigade killed or wounded more than 35 Houthi fighters during a swift and targeted operation in southwestern Taiz province. The assault targeted Houthi fortifications at several sites, including Wadi Kour and Jabal Al-Manara, and disabled a weaponized military vehicle.
This offensive is part of Operation Dawn of Yemen, a campaign launched on October 5 to recapture state institutions and the capital, Sanaa. Taiz remains a strategic priority for the government as it connects the interim capital, Aden, with the northern provinces. The operation follows a period of intensified fighting since July, representing the most significant conflict since a truce in April 2022.
Concurrent with the ground assault, a Saudi-led coalition intercepted one ballistic missile and 11 drones targeting the Eastern Province, Najran, Medina, and Riyadh. The Houthi group has not commented on the losses sustained in Taiz.
