Samsung Launches AI Health Assistant Beta in United States

Samsung Electronics launched the beta version of Health Assistant, a conversational AI tool integrated into the Samsung Health app, for eligible users in the United States. The tool synthesizes data from five core wellness domains—sleep, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, and vital signs—collected via Galaxy smartphones, watches, and rings, as well as manual logs.

The assistant identifies health patterns and provides personalized recommendations that the company states were validated by physicians and certified health coaches. While the tool offers guidance on health trends, Samsung clarified that it does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. To strengthen the link between everyday wellness data and clinical care, Samsung is utilizing its acquisition of Xealth to increase opportunities for early detection and secure connections to healthcare teams.

Future updates for the assistant will integrate the Personal Data Engine to incorporate user calendars and preferences. Samsung also plans to introduce habit modification coaching and goal-based services, such as weight management.
