Three Palestinians Dead After Stabbing Attacks in West Bank
Israeli security forces and a civilian killed three Palestinians following separate stabbing attacks that injured two Israelis in the West Bank on Thursday.
Three Palestinians were killed on Thursday following a series of stabbing attacks across the West Bank that left two Israelis injured. The incidents occurred in the Samaria region, including attacks near Elon Moreh and the Ganim area.
In one incident near the community of Itamar, an Israeli civilian was seriously wounded in the chest while attempting to extinguish a wildfire. Israeli police believe the fire was intentionally set. During the chaos, an Israeli civilian killed two Palestinians, whom Yossi Dagan, head of the administrative body for northern West Bank settlements, claimed were from the village of Beit Furik.
In a separate attack near Ganim in northern Samaria, an assailant arrived by car during a logistical operation at a recently established post. The attacker stabbed an Israeli in the leg, causing a moderate injury, before being shot and killed by two soldiers.
Israel Defense Forces and local police are investigating the coordinated nature of the violence. Yossi Dagan called for the government to respond to these attacks with an iron fist.
