Tim Hortons and WestJet Launch Coffee and Loyalty Partnership
Tim Hortons and WestJet will introduce a custom high-altitude coffee blend on flights starting November 30, followed by a joint loyalty program in 2027.
Tim Hortons and WestJet have partnered to introduce a specialized coffee experience and a joint loyalty program for Canadian flights. Starting November 30, WestJet will serve a custom Flight Roast blend made from 100 percent premium Arabica beans. The coffee is roasted to a full medium specifically to account for how taste perceptions change at cruising altitudes.
Following the product launch, the companies will introduce a loyalty collaboration in 2027. This program will allow Tims Rewards and WestJet Rewards members to link their accounts, enabling customers to earn WestJet points toward flights through eligible Tim Hortons purchases. This initiative follows a similar loyalty partnership Tim Hortons established with Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd.
Executives described the alliance as a natural fit for quintessential Canadian brands. Steve McClelland noted the process would be low friction, stating that every Timbit purchased would bring customers closer to their next vacation. The partnership comes amid a resurgence in the buy Canadian trend driven by trade tensions with the United States.
