Israel Strikes Hamas Facilities as Gaza Death Toll Rises
The Israel Defense Forces conducted precision strikes on Hamas weapons depots and command centers while Gaza health officials reported a rising death toll.
The Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Security Agency conducted a series of precision strikes across the Gaza Strip ending October 11, 2026. The operations targeted three weapons storage facilities containing rockets, mortars, and rifles, a rocket launch site in the Al-Furqan area, and an observation command center in the Daraj Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City. Israeli authorities stated they used precision munitions and issued advance warnings to residents to minimize civilian casualties.
Medical sources in Gaza reported that seven Palestinians were killed and 28 injured over the same 24-hour period. These casualties included a seven-year-old child in the Jabalia refugee camp and four people killed when an Israeli drone struck a mobile phone charging station in the al-Buraq area of Khan Younis. The Israeli army did not immediately comment on the drone strike.
According to Gaza-based health authorities, the total death toll from Israeli military actions since October 7, 2023, has reached 74,377, with 175,398 injured. Since a ceasefire took effect in October 2025, 1,488 people have been killed and 5,281 injured. The Israeli military and Shin Bet declared that operations will continue to disrupt efforts by Hamas to stockpile weapons and rebuild military infrastructure.
