Israeli Forces Conduct Widespread Raids Across West Bank and Gaza

Israeli military forces executed series of raids and arrests across the West Bank and launched airstrikes in the Gaza Strip between July 7 and 9, 2026.

The Israeli military conducted a series of widespread raids, home searches, and arrests across the occupied West Bank and launched lethal strikes in the Gaza Strip from July 7 to July 9, 2026. Operations in the West Bank targeted the districts of Nablus, Jenin, Salfit, Ramallah, and Bethlehem. In Jenin, troops detained four residents, including Basmala Hawashin and Ghassan Al-Atrash, while in Salfit, officials detained Mahmoud Al-Bar, the head of the Salfit Workers’ Unions, and Islam Hassan Wael Yassin.

Military actions involved the use of stun grenades and toxic gas in Qalqilia, causing inhalation injuries to civilians, and the demolition of a residential building in Sur Baher. In the Jordan Valley, soldiers detained Fayez Hassan Abu Dahila and his son Ahmad. Israeli officials described these operations as intelligence-driven efforts to disrupt terrorist activity. Conversely, the Palestinian Commission Against the Wall and Settlements documented over 11,000 Israeli violations in the territory during the first half of 2026.

Simultaneously, Israeli forces executed air and artillery strikes in the Gaza Strip. A strike on Al-Jami'at Street west of Gaza City killed one Palestinian, following a Tuesday strike in Tel al-Hawa that killed two people, including a child. Additional shelling targeted western Rafah and the Bureij and Maghazi refugee camps. In the West Bank, a Palestinian man was wounded near a checkpoint between Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
