Boeing Wins $14.7 Billion Contract to Triple Missile Seeker Production
Boeing received a $14.7 billion contract from Lockheed Martin to triple the production of PAC-3 MSE seekers for Patriot interceptors.
Boeing received an undefinitized contract action worth approximately $14.7 billion from Lockheed Martin to triple the production of PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) seekers. The award formalizes a seven-year framework agreement designed to support the United States Department of War's Acquisition Transformation Strategy and strengthen the "Arsenal of Freedom."
These seekers are critical components that enable Patriot interceptors to track and engage ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missiles. To support the production ramp-up, Boeing has modernized its facilities, expanded its factories, and strengthened relationships with its suppliers.
Steven Christopher Parker, President and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security, stated that early investment and a focus on quality have positioned the company to deliver seekers at unprecedented levels. The expansion is expected to create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in the Huntsville, Alabama, region.
