U.S. and Israeli Strikes Neutralize 80% of Iranian Air Defenses

United States and Israeli airstrikes destroyed 80% of Iran's air defense capabilities and significantly reduced Iranian missile attacks, though mobile launchers remain difficult to target.

A week of joint airstrikes by the United States and Israel has severely degraded Iran's military infrastructure, specifically neutralizing approximately 80% of its air defense capabilities. United States Central Command reports that Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks have decreased by more than 80% following targeted strikes on stockpiles and launchers.

Progress in destroying mobile missile launchers has been slower. Israel Defense Forces officials estimate that roughly two-thirds of these launchers are destroyed, a marginal increase from the 60% estimate reported the previous week. The stagnation is attributed to the challenge of locating small, mobile targets across a vast territory and the persistent risks to aircraft operating within Iranian airspace.

Despite these losses, Iran continues to maintain operational capacity by deploying simpler missile systems and Shahed-136 drones.
