Ant International Launches Open-Source Agentic Mobile Protocol for AI Commerce
Ant International released the Agentic Mobile Protocol to standardize secure, AI-driven payments across digital wallets and wearable devices.
Ant International launched the Agentic Mobile Protocol (AMP) on April 28, 2026. This open-sourced payment framework is designed to enable AI agents to execute secure commerce across mobile interfaces, including super apps, digital wallets, and wearable devices.
The protocol allows Large Language Models and merchants to connect with billions of digital wallet users. Technical specifications include a Know Your Agent (KYA) framework for digital identity and a high-frequency agent-to-agent settlement mechanism capable of processing nano-transactions as small as $0.000001.
Ant International is deploying the protocol via its Alipay+ gateway, which connects more than 40 digital wallet partners. The company is collaborating with Google, Mastercard, and Visa to integrate these AI agent capabilities directly into existing payment rails.
