Bank of America Launches $250 Billion U.S. Infrastructure Initiative
Bank of America announced a $250 billion program to invest in U.S. data centers, semiconductors, and energy to support the artificial intelligence boom.
Bank of America announced a $250 billion infrastructure initiative designed to increase U.S. investments in semiconductors, data centers, energy, and critical minerals. Running from the start of 2026 through mid-2027, the program will employ advisory services, capital markets, lending, and investing to bolster national competitiveness and the artificial intelligence boom. The bank expects the initiative to create tens of thousands of jobs.
This move follows similar large-scale efforts by other major financial institutions. Morgan Stanley previously announced a $1.5 trillion initiative for innovation platforms, while JPMorgan Chase has been investing its own capital into companies critical to national security.
These financial pushes occur as the administration exerts significant pressure on American companies. The sector is currently facing scrutiny regarding the debanking of clients, including a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump against JPMorgan Chase.
