Google Cuts AI Pro Trial Period for Pixel 11 Pro
Google reduced the complimentary Google AI Pro trial for Pixel 11 Pro buyers from 12 months to six months while increasing bundled cloud storage.
Google reduced the complimentary trial period for its Google AI Pro plan bundled with the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL series to six months. This represents a significant decrease from the 12-month trial offered with the Pixel 10 Pro, reducing the bundled value from $227 to $119.94. Additionally, the base Pixel 11 model now includes no trial, whereas the base Pixel 10 previously offered six months of service.
To offset the shorter duration, the company expanded the bundle's benefits to include 5TB of cloud storage, an increase from the 2TB provided in previous offers. The bundle also includes higher Gemini usage, access to the latest models, Google Health Premium, and integration with Workspace and YouTube Premium Lite. Once the trial expires, users must pay $20 per month to maintain the subscription, while Google Health Premium costs an additional $10 per month separately.
While Google has not officially explained the reduction, the change coincides with rising industry costs for AI infrastructure and RAM. Consumers can still obtain a 12-month trial by purchasing a Pixel 10 Pro before October 31, 2026, though that offer is limited to 2TB of storage. A lower-cost Google AI Plus plan remains available for $5 per month with 400GB of storage.
