Reform UK Recruits Candidates for Norfolk County Council Elections
Reform UK is recruiting candidates for the May 7 elections in Norfolk and Norwich as the nomination deadline approaches on April 9.
The Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council has opened nominations for the Norfolk County Council elections scheduled for May 7. All seats in Norfolk will be contested, including 14 divisions within Lynn and West Norfolk. Prospective candidates must submit nomination forms by April 9, while voters must register by April 20.
Reform UK is actively recruiting candidates to fulfill a pledge to stand in every ward for both the Norfolk County Council and Norwich City Council elections. During a rally at the Norfolk showground, Party Chairman David Bull urged the public to apply online to help the party challenge the current administration. Poll predictions suggest Reform UK could seize control of County Hall as the Conservative Party loses significant seats.
At the rally, Reform councillor David Bick criticized the Tory-led County Hall, attacking the arrogance of the council leader and comparing the local government's operations to the Soviet Union. The event featured prospective candidates Jaden Listen and Robin Hunter-Clarke as the party prepares for the upcoming vote.
