Bayo Onanuga Accuses Peter Obi of Hypocrisy Over Public Funds

Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, criticized presidential candidate Peter Obi following Obi's claim that Nigeria would be wealthier if its leaders maintained public funds in banks.

In a post on X, Onanuga accused Obi of hypocrisy and mocked him as "Saint Peter" for "pontificating" to his supporters. Onanuga referenced the Panama Papers leak to suggest that Obi held offshore assets and business holdings during his previous tenure as governor of Anambra State.
