Ken Griffin Urges U.S. Focus on AI and Productivity
Citadel founder Ken Griffin called for the U.S. to prioritize technological innovation and economic growth over tariff disputes with European allies.
Ken Griffin, the founder of Citadel, called for a singular focus on economic growth and productivity to secure the future of the United States and its allies. He argued that the U.S. administration should prioritize the AI revolution, the construction of domestic data centers, and advancements in nuclear fusion, nuclear fission, batteries, and robotics to drive productivity for the next two decades.
Griffin criticized the current tariff war with Europe as a "fiasco," asserting that the U.S. should instead push European allies to implement meaningful economic reforms and increase labor productivity. He specifically cited strict limitations on working hours in France as an example of inefficiency.
Griffin maintained that European nations cannot expect the U.S. to provide their defense while they fail to grow their own economies. He advocated for a collaborative approach to economic expansion, suggesting that the Western world must work together to increase overall prosperity.
