GOP Super PAC Launches $17 Million North Carolina Ad Campaign
The Senate GOP super PAC SLF is spending $17 million to target Roy Cooper in North Carolina as Democrats increase battleground spending.
The Senate GOP super PAC SLF launched a $17 million summer advertisement campaign in North Carolina targeting the crime record of Democratic Senate candidate and former Governor Roy Cooper. As part of the effort, the group created the website 40YearsIsEnough.com to challenge Cooper, who currently leads former RNC Chairman Michael Whatley in polling for the seat.
In response to the tightening midterm landscape, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee announced it will spend $40 million on voter connection, organizing, and research across several battleground states.
Parallel to these organizational expenditures, billionaire donors George Soros and his son Alex contributed nearly $103 million to support the Democratic Party. The Capital Research Center described this contribution as a record-breaking amount intended to assist the party during ongoing fundraising struggles.
