Soho House Investigates Food Mislabelling Claims at Shoreditch House

Soho House launched an internal investigation after a former employee posted a TikTok video alleging that staff at the Shoreditch House location in London were pressured to mislabel and sell out-of-date food. The former employee claims he was fired after reporting the practice to the company and local authorities, though a company spokesperson stated the termination was unrelated to the complaint.

Hackney Council opened its own investigation following a health and safety report. Soho House apologized for the incident, describing it as an isolated occurrence that contradicts company policy. To address the allegations, the company appointed its director of health and safety and an external consultant to lead the probe.

Management noted that Shoreditch House passed an independent audit last week and received a food hygiene rating of 5 in March.
