Temasek to Open Offices in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi
Temasek will open offices in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates by early 2027 to expand investments across the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa.
Singaporean state-owned investor Temasek announced plans to open new offices in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, during the first half of 2027. The expansion increases the firm's global network to 15 offices across 11 countries, aiming to capitalize on the Gulf's economic transformation and long-term fundamentals despite regional instability and economic fallout from the war in Iran.
The new hubs will serve as strategic bases for Temasek and its portfolio companies to identify investment and partnership opportunities throughout the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa. As part of this regional push, the investor also intends to actively engage with institutions in Qatar.
Chia Song Hwee, CEO of Temasek Global Investments and Chairman for the Middle East and Africa, will provide senior oversight for the expansion alongside Managing Director Ankit Khemka. CEO Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara noted that the region's long-term fundamentals remain highly attractive.
