Liquidators Report Crown Inn Director to Insolvency Service

Liquidators have reported Julian Rosser, the director of The Crown Inn Woodstock Ltd, to the Insolvency Service following the company's voluntary liquidation in July 2025. Daniel Taylor of Fortis Insolvency alleged in Companies House documents that Rosser failed to provide necessary books, records, and completed questionnaires during the winding-down process.

This conduct report may trigger a formal investigation into director disqualification. Financial records show the business owed £200,571 to three creditors. This includes secondary preferential claims from HM Revenue & Customs totaling £236,124.91 and unsecured creditor claims of £87,462.01.

Rosser disputed the allegations, stating that all required accounts and statements were provided. Despite the liquidation proceedings, the Grade II listed boutique hotel and restaurant in Woodstock reportedly remains open and trading.
