Expand Energy Appoints Daniel E. Brown as CEO

Expand Energy Corporation appointed Daniel E. Brown as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 26, 2026. Brown will also join the company's Board of Directors, bringing experience from his previous tenure as President and CEO of Chord Energy and nearly 20 years in leadership roles at Anadarko Petroleum.

Brown succeeds Michael A. Wichterich, who has served as Interim President and CEO since February 2026. Wichterich will return to his position as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board. The selection follows a comprehensive search process that evaluated both internal and external candidates.

Brown stated that the company is uniquely positioned to meet energy needs driven by industrial investment, increasing power demand, and LNG exports. Wichterich noted that Brown's industry experience and track record of leading organizations through transformation make him the right leader to accelerate the company's momentum as North America's leading integrated natural gas company.
