China Coast Guard Patrols Waters Near Kinmen

The Fujian Coast Guard conducted routine law-enforcement patrols in the waters near Kinmen on July 29, 2026. According to China Coast Guard spokesperson Zhu Anqing, the agency dispatched task groups starting in early July to strengthen the control and management of the region.

These operations are intended to ensure orderly navigation and operations in the maritime area between Xiamen and Kinmen. The patrols specifically aim to protect the lives, property, and rights of fishermen from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
