GE Vernova Stock Surges 600% Following AI Pivot

GE Vernova shares rose over 600% since April 2024 as CEO Scott Strazik pivoted the energy company toward AI infrastructure and power grid technology.

Shares of GE Vernova have increased by more than 600% since the company became an independent public entity in April 2024. The growth follows a strategic pivot toward the artificial intelligence sector led by CEO Scott Strazik, who has focused on the high energy demands of AI factories to drive innovation.

To support this transition, the company established research and development partnerships with technology firm NVIDIA and the nuclear-energy startup Blue Energy. GE Vernova, which provides software and equipment for power grids and generates roughly 25% of global electricity, is using these AI-specific projects to develop technology that Strazik intends to apply to the broader electrical grid over time.

Strazik noted that the company has undergone significant internal transformation since its spin-off from General Electric, reporting that 25% of the current workforce and 25% of the customer base joined the company after the separation.
