80 Mile PLC Delays Greenland Drilling to Winter 2027

80 Mile PLC delayed drilling operations at its Jameson Land Basin project in East Greenland until winter 2027. The company shifted the timeline from the original 2026/27 target to allow more time for permitting and regulatory approvals, though it maintains its long-term plans for the site.

The Government of Greenland issued a formal warning to the company regarding equipment, specifically accommodation and camp containers, landed at Nerlerit Inaat airport. While 80 Mile PLC had arranged storage with Greenland Airports A/S, it failed to obtain a separate required permit from the Mines regulator. The company has since provided undertakings regarding future logistics movements.

The project is managed by subsidiary White Flame Energy, which holds three exploration licenses. Under a 2025 agreement with March GL, the project includes the funding of two 3,500-metre drill holes designed to test stacked reservoir targets.
