Safina Baig Joins National Conference Party in Srinagar

Safina Baig joined the National Conference party to support the restoration of statehood and strengthen the party's influence in north Kashmir.

The former Baramulla District Development Council chairperson Safina Baig formally joined the ruling National Conference party in Srinagar. She was welcomed into the organization by National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Baig previously held affiliations with the People's Democratic Party and the Peoples Conference. By joining the National Conference, she endorsed the party's active campaign for the restoration of statehood and praised the leadership of Omar Abdullah.

This induction is intended to solidify the National Conference's political standing in north Kashmir. The party expects to leverage the significant network maintained by the Baig family, specifically within the Baramulla and Wagoora-Kreeri regions.
