Netflix Inc. Nearly Doubles Ad Commitments at 2026 US Upfront
Netflix Inc. nearly doubled its advertising commitments during its 2026 US Upfront, driven by high demand for live sports and new programmatic ad tools.
Netflix Inc. nearly doubled its advertising commitments compared to the previous year following the conclusion of its 2026 US Upfront. The streaming service secured deals with all major agency partners, fueled by interest in returning series, upcoming feature films such as Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, and live sports content including the NFL, WWE, and MLB.
Demand for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup was especially strong, with game sponsorships selling out and in-game inventory nearly exhausted. To accommodate this growth, the company expanded its Ads Suite to include programmatic buying capabilities through major demand-side platforms, AI-driven creative tooling for pause ads, and interactive formats like Frame Ads and Send to Phone.
The Media Rating Council granted the Netflix Ads Suite its first accreditation for processing and reporting US in-stream video impressions across desktop web, mobile apps, and connected TV. Following the US event, the company plans to launch its first international Upfront events in London, Paris, Tokyo, São Paulo, and Mexico City.
