Oklahoma Sets Voter Registration Deadline for November 3 Election
The Government of Oklahoma has set an October 9 deadline for voter registration ahead of the general elections scheduled for November 3.
The Government of Oklahoma has established Friday, October 9, as the deadline for eligible citizens to register to vote or update their registration for the general elections on November 3. Applications must be postmarked by midnight on Friday to be eligible. Citizens may register online via the Oklahoma Voter Portal or in person at county election boards.
The November 3 elections will determine the state's governor, U.S. senator, U.S. representatives, and several other state-level offices, including the attorney general and state treasurer. Voters will also decide on the retention of state appeals court judges and Oklahoma Supreme Court justices. Ballots will include State Question 845 regarding Judicial Nominating Commission appointments and State Question 847 concerning property tax rates.
Absentee ballot requests must be submitted by 5 p.m. on October 19. While mailed absentee ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on election night, hand-delivered ballots are due by the close of business on the Monday preceding the election. Early voting is scheduled to take place from October 28 to October 31.
