Brackett and Paschall Compete for Clallam County PUD Seat

Randy Brackett and Rick Paschall are competing for the District 2 commissioner seat of the Clallam County Public Utility District. The election follows a period of instability for the board, which operated with only two members for over a year after Paschall resigned abruptly in March 2023.

Paschall previously held the position after winning the April 2020 election, but he left the post without providing a reason. Phylis Bernard was appointed in April 2024 to fill the vacancy created by his departure.

The current campaign centers on reliability and commitment to the office. Brackett is campaigning on a promise to complete the entire six-year term. Meanwhile, critics of Paschall question whether he will serve the full duration of the term given his previous resignation.
