Israeli Consul General Celebrates India's 80th Independence Day in Mumbai

Israeli Consul General Yaniv Revach attended celebrations for India's 80th Independence Day in Mumbai on August 14, 2026. The event was hosted by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

During the celebration, Revach emphasized that the partnership between India and Israel extends beyond the relationship between the two nations' prime ministers, describing it as a bond between the people of both countries. He highlighted ongoing cooperation in the fields of water, agriculture, and culture.

Revach specifically noted the upcoming inauguration of a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Israel, scheduled for the coming months. Deputy Consul General Avishag Hefer also attended the event, marking her second Independence Day celebration in the city.
