Emergent Labs Raises $130 Million to Reach $1.5 Billion Valuation

Emergent Labs Inc. achieved unicorn status after raising $130 million in Series C funding to expand its AI software creation platform.

AI software startup Emergent Labs Inc. reached a $1.5 billion valuation after raising $130 million in a Series C funding round. The financing was led by private equity firm Creaegis, with MNI Ventures, Claypond Capital, and Sentinel Global acting as co-lead investors. Other participants included Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed, and Y Combinator. The current valuation represents a five-fold increase from the company's $300 million valuation in January.

Founded in 2024 by Mukund and Madhav Jha, the company provides "vibe-coding" tools that enable non-technical users to create production-grade enterprise software, such as CRMs and ERPs, using natural language prompts and autonomous AI agents. CEO Mukund Jha reported that over 12 million applications have been built on the platform, with 70% of users having no prior coding experience.

Emergent is the second India-founded AI startup to achieve unicorn status. While the company reports an annualized revenue run rate of $120 million, Jha noted that growth is beginning to normalize as enterprise customers become more conscious of AI inference costs. Emergent plans to use the new capital to extend its financial runway to 18 months and explore acquisitions of smaller startups for talent and distribution synergies.
