Irish Residential Property Prices Rise 5.6 Percent in June

The Central Statistics Office reported that Irish residential property prices rose by 5.6 percent in June 2026 compared to June 2025. This represents the slowest rate of annual increase since January 2024 and a decline from the 6.1 percent growth recorded in the year ending in May 2026.
Regional data shows that property prices in Dublin increased by 4.6 percent, while prices outside the capital rose by 6.4 percent. The highest regional growth occurred in the border counties of Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan, and Sligo, where prices climbed 10.5 percent.
The median dwelling price for the 12 months ending in June was 396,000 euros. Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown recorded the highest median price at 682,334 euros, while Longford recorded the lowest at 198,000 euros.
Data from the Revenue Commissioners indicates that 4,058 household dwelling purchases totaling 1.82 billion euros were filed in June 2026. This total included 1,705 purchases made by first-time buyers.
