Cockroach Janta Party Launches National Listening Tour

The Cockroach Janta Party announced a nationwide grassroots campaign and membership drive to address unemployment and education reform starting September 1, 2026.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) announced the launch of its 'Kya Bolti Public' (What Are the People Saying?) national listening tour starting September 1, 2026. During a National Working Committee meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, the organization unveiled its first national leadership team and a nationwide membership drive.

Founder and national convener Abhijeet Dipke stated the campaign will engage young people to develop a citizen-driven Youth Reform Charter. The group intends to focus on unemployment and education reforms, specifically targeting the profit-driven nature of schooling. To support ongoing youth activism, the CJP will also send a delegation to Ranchi to assist students protesting recruitment irregularities in Jharkhand.

Dipke characterized the resignation of former Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a major victory and the "biggest achievement of the students' agitation." The resignation followed CJP-led protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi over NEET paper leaks and other examination irregularities.

Despite its name, the organization clarified it will operate as an independent public pressure group rather than an electoral political party. Leadership cited a hostile political environment and the misuse of investigative agencies as reasons for avoiding formal political status, opting instead to focus on grassroots accountability for the judiciary, media, and the Election Commission.
