Waitrose recalled one-litre bottles of its Essential Unsweetened Oat Drink from supermarkets across the United Kingdom on September 22, 2026. While some reports list the best-before dates as August 14 to October 26, other sources state the range extends to October 29. The Food Standards Agency issued a formal food alert warning customers not to consume the affected drink. The agency instructed consumers to return the product to the store of purchase to receive a full refund. This incident follows a separate recall earlier in September involving Waitrose Essential Pitted Black Olives due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
