Palantir and NVIDIA Launch Sovereign AI Operating System

Palantir Technologies and NVIDIA launched the Sovereign AI Operating System on March 12, 2026, providing a joint hardware and software reference architecture for governments and large organizations. The system enables entities to run advanced AI on local infrastructure, eliminating the need to send sensitive data to external cloud providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, or Google.

The turnkey datacenter solution combines NVIDIA's Blackwell-based AI infrastructure—including Blackwell Ultra systems and Spectrum-X Ethernet networking—with Palantir's software suite, which includes AIP, Foundry, Apollo, Rubix, and AIP Hub. This deployment is specifically designed for sectors with high security and legal requirements, such as central banks and defense ministries, to support functions like economic forecasting and fraud detection.

This partnership targets a rapidly expanding sovereign AI market that McKinsey & Company expects to grow from approximately $150 billion in 2025 to $600 billion by 2030. The collaboration focuses on providing production-ready infrastructure that allows nations and industries to maintain proprietary control over their data and intelligence.
