Nvidia Unveils Vera Rubin Platform to Expand AI Infrastructure

Nvidia Inc. is shifting its business model from selling individual graphics processing units to providing comprehensive full-stack AI infrastructure and ecosystems. At GTC 2026, the company introduced Vera Rubin, a platform that integrates GPUs, CPUs, networking, storage, and software to support AI agents capable of reasoning and task execution.

To deepen its integration into physical infrastructure, the company is utilizing its DSX platform to help customers design AI factories. This expansion includes a new initiative in Australia targeting a two-gigawatt infrastructure build-out by 2027. Nvidia has also partnered with Palantir to deploy sovereign AI across critical supply chains.

Beyond traditional cloud environments, the company is diversifying into robotics, autonomous machines, and space computing. These efforts include the development of orbital data centers and geospatial intelligence to deploy accelerated computing in new frontiers.
