Agility Robotics Plans Fall IPO With $2.5 Billion Valuation

Agility Robotics will go public in fall 2026 via a SPAC merger to become the first U.S. humanoid robotics company listed on the stock market.

Agility Robotics plans to go public in the fall of 2026 through a SPAC merger, aiming to be the first humanoid robotics company to list in the United States. CEO Peggy Flournoy announced the company holds a pre-money valuation of $2.5 billion and has secured over $300 million in booked orders.

To accelerate the development of the Digit v5 robot, the company opened a 60,000-square-foot facility in Fremont, California. This complements an existing factory in Salem, Oregon, which can produce 10,000 units annually. Flournoy stated the company expects to demonstrate the first safety-certified humanoid capable of operating outside of restricted work cells by the end of the year.

Hon Hai Precision Industry, known as Foxconn, led the private investment in public equity for the merger, and Agility Robotics is currently exploring a strategic operational engagement with the manufacturer. Regarding the broader industry, Flournoy expressed support for U.S. tariffs on Chinese robotics, arguing that Chinese subsidies create an uneven playing field similar to the conditions that led to the decline of the U.S. drone industry.
