MK Stalin Demands Abolition of NEET Medical Entrance Exam

MK Stalin called on the Union Government to scrap the NEET exam following student protests in New Delhi over structural flaws and irregularities.

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president MK Stalin demanded the total abolition of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on July 23, 2026. Stalin described the ongoing student protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi as a wake-up call for the Union Government, urging central authorities to trust state governments and remove the examination.

Stalin argued that NEET has failed to reduce student burden or eliminate the commercialization of education. He claimed the exam shifted learning from schools to coaching centers and possesses structural flaws that enable large-scale irregularities. According to Stalin, the removal of the test is the only way to provide a lasting solution to the grievances of the protesting students.
