DJH Acquires Thorne Widgery to Expand Midlands Presence

DJH, a UK-based accountancy and professional services group, acquired Thorne Widgery to expand its operations across the Midlands and Welsh Borders. The acquisition includes the 80-year-old Hereford-based firm, which maintains offices in Ludlow and Shrewsbury and specializes in owner-managed businesses. As part of the transaction, DJH also acquired XfE, an accounting platform dedicated to academy trusts and schools.

Local management under Daniel Crowther will remain in place following the deal. This move represents the 22nd acquisition for DJH in five years, increasing the group's total workforce to nearly 900 employees operating across 19 offices in the UK and Ireland.
