IHI Corporation Raises Annual Guidance After First Quarter Surge

IHI Corporation reported a substantial increase in net income for the first quarter ending June 30, totaling JPY 53.518 billion. This figure represents a sharp rise from the JPY 11.601 billion earned during the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter grew to JPY 374.548 billion.

The company attributed this growth to strong performance in its Civil Aero Engine, Defense, and Nuclear Energy businesses. Additional contributions to the results came from progress in property sales as well as the Space segment.

Based on these results, the company increased its annual guidance for the period ending March 31, 2027. IHI Corporation now projects total revenue of JPY 1.840 trillion and net income of JPY 172 billion.
