Chuck Edwards Will Not Seek Re-election After Ethics Probe

Representative Chuck Edwards announced Wednesday that he will not seek re-election to represent North Carolina’s 11th congressional district. The decision follows a conclusion by the United States House Committee on Ethics that the Republican lawmaker made unwelcome sexual advances toward female staffers.

In a post on X, Edwards stated that he intends to complete his current term. He described his service to Western North Carolina as "the honor of my life."
