Wheels Up Orders Six Embraer Phenom 300E Light Jets

Wheels Up Experience Inc. ordered six new Embraer SA Phenom 300E light jets to expand its charter flight operations. This acquisition marks the company's first direct aircraft purchase since Delta Air Lines Inc. became its largest shareholder in 2023.

Chief Executive Officer George Mattson stated that the company expects to receive the first aircraft in the second half of 2027. The purchase signals a strategic shift for the operator, which previously relied on the pre-owned aircraft market. This change comes as supply in the used market has tightened and prices have increased.
