Israeli Forces Demolish Palestinian Homes and Infrastructure

Israeli forces demolished residential homes and water infrastructure in the West Bank, continuing a trend of dozens of demolition operations throughout August and September.

The Israeli military demolished a 200-square-meter residence in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, on September 2, 2026. Mayor Na'im Fanoun reported that military vehicles and bulldozers entered the Wadi Salem area in the early morning to destroy the home of Mu'taz Hassan Musa Najajra, which had been inhabited for more than 15 years.

This action follows demolitions in the al-Ras al-Ahmar area, southeast of Tubas, on September 1, where forces destroyed residential and livestock structures belonging to two families. These events are part of a wider campaign in the northern Jordan Valley; on August 27, forces filled in three private water wells, destroyed a 300-meter water pipeline, and demolished three livestock shelters covering over 300 square meters.

These incidents reflect a broader trend of demolition operations. During August, authorities carried out 71 operations targeting 155 structures, including 47 inhabited homes. The highest volume of these destructions occurred in the Jenin Governorate, followed by Jericho and Hebron.
