Authentic Brands Group Targets 2027 IPO and Influencer Market

Authentic Brands Group CEO Matt Maddox announced the company is IPO ready and is partnering with Stephen Bartlett to scale influencer licensing.

Authentic Brands Group is preparing for a potential initial public offering as early as the first half of 2027, pending approval from its board and shareholders. CEO Matt Maddox stated the company is "IPO ready," reporting $2.2 billion in revenue and $1.8 billion in EBITDA, which maintains a profit margin of over 80%.

To drive growth over the next decade, the company is expanding its asset-light licensing model into the influencer market. Maddox announced a joint venture with creator and podcaster Stephen Bartlett to leverage Bartlett's technology platform and audience growth expertise. This partnership aims to manage licensing and live events for the influencer community.

Under the leadership of founder Jamie Salter and Maddox, the company has spent over $2 billion on acquisitions in the last 18 months, adding brands such as Guess, Care Bears, and Drake's OVO. The company reports 8% organic growth and over 20% annual growth when including acquisitions. To further this expansion, Authentic Brands Group is opening new offices in India and Indonesia, as 35% of its current revenue is generated outside the United States.
