New York Stock Exchange Uses Anthropic AI to Fix Vulnerabilities

The New York Stock Exchange utilized Anthropic PBC's Project Glasswing to identify and resolve vulnerabilities within its cybersecurity systems. Lynn Martin, president of the exchange, disclosed the partnership during testimony before the House Financial Services Committee on Wednesday.

Through Project Glasswing, Anthropic provided a limited group of vetted partners with early access to its Mythos artificial intelligence model to strengthen cyber defenses. Martin stated that the technology allowed the exchange to quickly address a variety of identified items, though she did not disclose the specific nature of the vulnerabilities or the timeline for their remediation.

The disclosure came in response to inquiries from Representative Bill Huizenga regarding the exchange's efforts to pressure test its systems against coordinated cyber attacks.
