Four Major Airlines Issue Summer Peak Arrival Guidelines
TUI, easyJet, Ryanair, and Jet2 have released specific passenger arrival recommendations and boarding deadlines to manage summer peak travel.
Four major airlines—TUI Group, easyJet, Ryanair, and Jet2.com—have issued arrival time recommendations for passengers traveling during the summer peak season to ensure timely departures.
TUI Group provides tiered guidance based on flight distance, advising passengers to arrive 2.5 hours before short and mid-haul flights and 3.5 hours for long-haul flights. In contrast, easyJet, Ryanair, and Jet2.com generally recommend that passengers arrive at least two hours before their scheduled departure.
Operational deadlines vary across the carriers. easyJet closes boarding strictly 30 minutes before departure, while Ryanair closes its gates 20 minutes before takeoff. Jet2.com closes its check-in desks 40 minutes before the scheduled time, though it allows passengers with only hand luggage and a boarding pass to arrive between 90 and 120 minutes before departure.
