India Raises Commercial LPG and Aviation Fuel Prices

Oil Marketing Companies increased the price of commercial LPG and aviation turbine fuel in India on November 1, citing global crude volatility and shipping disruptions.

The Oil Marketing Companies increased the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder by approximately Rs 10 on November 1, 2026. In Delhi, the cost rose to Rs 2,820, marking the third consecutive monthly increase following a Rs 65 hike on October 1 and a marginal rise in September.

Simultaneously, the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel rose by Rs 1.37 per litre to Rs 138.5 per litre. These adjustments occur during the peak festive season and follow a volatile year that saw a massive price surge in May and cumulative cuts throughout July and August.

Industry officials attribute the current price instability to global crude volatility and high Saudi Aramco contract prices. Additionally, naval disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz have contracted the global LPG supply and increased shipping risk premiums, forcing higher domestic rates.
