Janus Henderson Forty Fund Reports 19 Percent Q2 Return

Janus Henderson Investors reported a 19 percent return for its Forty Fund in Q2 2026, outperforming the Russell 1000 Growth Index.

Janus Henderson Investors reported that its Forty Fund achieved a 19.00% return for the second quarter of 2026, outperforming the Russell 1000 Growth Index. The firm attributed the strong performance to strategic stock selection, an overweight position in the healthcare sector, and targeted investments in artificial intelligence.

In its investor letter, the fund identified specific relative detractors within the portfolio. MercadoLibre, Inc. faced pressure on operating margins and profitability due to increased expenditures on logistics, advertising, and technology intended to counter regional competition. Despite these short-term headwinds, the fund remains constructive on the company's long-term strategy to secure its Latin American footprint and has maintained its position.

Oracle Corporation was also cited as a relative detractor, driven by investor anxiety over the funding required for the company's massive infrastructure capacity buildout. To counter these concerns, the fund highlighted that Oracle possesses an AI-related contracted orders backlog exceeding $550 billion and has established an equity and debt financing plan to address its funding needs.
