Simon Harris Meets G20 Finance Ministers in North Carolina

Tánaiste and Minister for Finance Simon Harris is traveling to North Carolina, United States, to meet with G20 finance ministers and Central Bank governors. Attending as part of Ireland's European Union presidency, Harris is scheduled to hold meetings with British Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey and Canadian Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne to discuss energy security, financial stability, and the global economy.

While Harris is in the United States, Ireland is simultaneously hosting a series of high-level EU presidency meetings. Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence Helen McEntee is chairing an informal summit of defense ministers from 17 EU member states. This includes a day-long meeting in Wicklow focused on the war in Ukraine and EU security.

Further diplomatic activity is scheduled for Wednesday, when EU foreign ministers will meet in Ireland to address the Middle East and transatlantic relations.
