Samsung Electronics launched three new foldable phones, two smartwatches, and AI smart glasses at its July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event in London.
Samsung Electronics unveiled a bifurcated foldable strategy at its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026, in London. The company introduced three foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and two versions of the Fold. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 features a redesigned 4:3 aspect ratio and wider passport design to improve ergonomics and accessibility, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra maintains a traditional book-style form factor as a premium productivity device with a 200MP camera and 5,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 arrives as the thinnest flip model to date, featuring a 180-gram chassis and a reimagined FlexWindow cover screen. All three foldable models debut Flex Titanium display technology to reduce screen creases and run One UI 9 based on Android 17. While reports on processors vary by region, the Fold models utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and the Z Flip 8 employs the Exynos 2600.
Beyond phones, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, both powered by Snapdragon Wear Elite chips. The company also entered the AI eyewear market with Galaxy Glasses, developed in collaboration with Google. These devices integrate Google's Gemini Intelligence to enable multi-step tasks across applications. Preorders begin July 28, with sales starting August 7 in South Korea.
