Tesco Launches Nationwide Deliveroo Service and Digital Shelf Labels

Tesco launched a nationwide rapid delivery service on Deliveroo on September 23, 2026, following a successful trial across 147 stores. The service is now available in 75 UK towns and cities, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Belfast, providing grocery deliveries in as little as 20 minutes. Customers using the Deliveroo app can access Clubcard Prices and earn points, with the first order processed via the Limbury Mead Express store.

In a separate modernization effort, the retailer is replacing traditional paper price tags with electronic shelf labels across approximately 3,000 stores over the next two years. Developed in partnership with Chinese technology company Hanshow, these digital displays allow for instant price updates from central systems to ensure consistency between shelves and checkouts. This rollout follows successful trials at stores in Royston and St Neots.
