Hinduja Group Invests Rs 2,500 Crore in Tamil Nadu
Hinduja Group committed Rs 2,500 crore to expand renewable energy, electric mobility, and financial services operations in Tamil Nadu.
The Hinduja Group announced a Rs 2,500 crore investment in Tamil Nadu to expand its operations across the renewable energy, electric mobility, automotive, and financial services sectors. The conglomerate intends to leverage the state's industrial base and talent to support India's broader energy and mobility transition, building on its existing regional presence through Ashok Leyland and Gulf Oil India.
A primary component of the investment involves Hinduja Renewables Energy Pvt Ltd, which will develop more than 200 MW of renewable energy projects using solar, wind, and battery technologies. Simultaneously, OHM Global Mobility Ltd will operationalize electric buses for public transport and expand its mobility solutions value chain.
Ashok Hinduja, Chairman of Hinduja Group of Companies (India), stated that the commitment reflects the group's confidence in the state and its desire to participate in the next phase of growth in the region.
